I am having Bluetooth Issues with my PR/01Updated a year ago

We are sorry to hear that. Please refer to the information below, which should help in a variety of situations.

First, please ensure your PR/01 is set to the Bluetooth input (a white LED light should be on where it says “Bluetooth” on top of the PR/01 speaker)

Next, determine what the Bluetooth LED is telling you:

  • White LED on: The speaker is connected to a device via Bluetooth
  • White LED blinking slowly: The speaker is on, and only visible to devices previously connected via Bluetooth (this is NOT pairing mode)
  • White LED blinking fast: The speaker is in pairing mode, and can be discovered by new devices.

A first-time Bluetooth connection to PR/01 is called pairing. To re-connect the same device again later, there is no need to go through the pairing process again (connection can be triggered from your device if PR/01 is in Bluetooth Mode – white LED slowly blinking). For first time connection problems, the key is to find out if the PR/01 is really in pairing mode (a short press on the “Bluetooth” button inside the drawer, which makes the white LED blink fast). If the LED is blinking fast, and your device can’t pair to the PR/01, it is almost always an issue with the device you are trying to connect rather than the speaker.

If you cannot pair with the speaker:

  • Check that your PR/01 is turned on.
  • Check that the “source” is set to “Bluetooth”.
  • Check that the device you are trying to connect is within 20 inches (50cm) of PR/01

What does the Bluetooth LED do?

  • Slow blink (every ~2 seconds) PR/01 is not in pairing mode. It is waiting for the last connected device to re-appear. Short press the Bluetooth button inside the drawer – if the Bluetooth LED is not blinking fast, try short-pressing the Bluetooth button again. Once the LED is blinking fast, continue to pair your device to the speaker through your device’s Bluetooth options.
  • Fast blink PR/01 is in pairing mode. Continue to pair your device to the speaker through your device’s Bluetooth options.
  • White LED is on – no blinking PR/01’s Bluetooth is already connected – if it is not connected to your device, it is connected to another device in range. Check your device, and turn up the volume on both your device and the speaker (make sure some music or other sound is playing on your device for testing) If you cannot find the device that is connected to PR/01, short-press the Bluetooth button inside the drawer to enter pairing mode (fast blinking of the Bluetooth LED)

What does your device do?

  • Check that your device’s Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Manually refresh the list of Bluetooth devices on your device, or wait 1-2 minutes (some devices only scan Bluetooth at intervals).
  • Make sure your device is not trying to connect to another device via Bluetooth at the same time (if so, try to wait 1-2 minutes, and/or de-activate/forget the other device).
  • Open your Bluetooth settings, and turn Bluetooth off, then back on.
  • If the above doesn’t work, reset the Bluetooth settings on your device and try again.
  • If connected (Bluetooth LED is on, and not blinking), but there is no sound, turn up the volume on both your PR/01 and device (make sure some music or other sound is playing on your device for testing).
  • If PR/01 can enter pairing mode (fast blinking Bluetooth LED), but not connect to your device, try connecting another device.
  • If PR/01 can successfully connect to another device, seek help from the initial device’s manufacturer or dealer.

If PR/01 cannot connect to any devices while following the troubleshooting steps above, please take a video of the issue, and send it to our Customer Service team at [email protected], along with the PR/01 serial number found at the back of the speaker.
