This is a built-in safety feature designed to prevent unauthorized tracking. If a FIND IT Tag that is not yours is detected moving with you over time, your iPhone will send you an "Unknown Tracker Alert" notification. Through this notification, you can ring the card to find its physical location and then follow the steps to disable it. Once disabled, the card will stop updating its location to the owner and will no longer trigger alerts.
