My AirPods are completely out of battery, and don’t seem to chargeUpdated a year ago
AirPods which have been completely out of battery for several days sometimes stop reacting to wireless charging. In this case, it usually does the trick to remove and place them on the charger again a few times until the AirPods LED turns orange for 3 seconds.
You can always check if your AirPods are charging by tapping on them. If the LED comes on briefly, they are charging normally. If not, something is wrong and you may need to remove them and place them on the charger again.
Deeply discharged AirPods can always be reactivated by charging them with a cable for a few minutes. But this should be rarely required.
